Top Ten Books On My Fall 2013 TBR List:

(These aren’t new releases, but books I have promised myself to get through ASAP.)

1. The Book Thief

I borrowed this from a friend over a year ago, and I promised her that while housesitting for her this month I’d finish it.

2. Ender’s Game

A book club pick – just in time for the movie!

3. Storm Front

I told myself I’d read this whole series over the next year, so I better get started.

4. Carrie

I haven’t read a Stephen King book in so long. With Halloween coming up, it’s the perfect time to dive back in.

5. Prodigy

I just finished re-reading Legend, so now I’m ready for the sequel.

6. Glamorous Illusions

Technically, I already started this one. I need to finish it before it’s due back to the library in a couple of weeks.

7. Murder in the Marais

This has been on my TBR for so long, as it combines two of my favorite things: mysteries and Paris. I finally picked it up from the library.

8. Clockwork Princess

I read the first two back-to-back and then forgot to come back to this one. I need to read it before I forget everything that happened.

9. Requiem

After a hundred million years, my library ebook loan finally came through.

10. Coda

This came home with me during birthday book shopping. I can’t wait to finally read it!

What books are you planning to read this fall?

  1. I also hope to read The Book Thief and Ender’s Game soon in time for the movies! We’ll see how that goes with how much time I have. There’s no way I’m seeing the movies without reading the books first anyway, so the movies will have to wait until then.

I really can’t wait to hear what you think of Clockwork Princess and Requiem. I loved one, hated the other (hated is a strong word… but I did hate the ending of Requiem).

    • I finished both this week! I feel so prepared. 🙂 I can’t wait to see the movies and how they interpret the books. I will say that The Book Thief was pretty rough, emotionally. Set aside some Kleenex. I thought Ender’s Game was a pretty fast read, though.

I also managed to finish Requiem. I liked the ending! I thought it was nice that it was open and made it feel like the story could live on. But I can see how it would be frustrating too. I would have liked just a little bit more resolution.
